EN POINTE: STUDIO UPDATE: COVID

RE: COVID UPDATE AND PROCEDURES

To: Our WBT Dancers and Families

As things continue to develop in our community and with the schools, we believe that full transparency will help keep everyone in our studio as healthy as possible. At this time, MASKS CONTINUE TO BE MANDATORY for anyone inside the studio. The safety, health, and well-being of our dancers, instructors, and our families have always been and will remain our top priority.

In the last few days, we have continued to receive reports of dancers out sick or confirmed positive cases of Coronavirus. None of the confirmed positive reports have resulted in exposure of our dancers, instructors, or family members at this time. Please continue to monitor your dancer for symptoms.

This letter is being sent out generally and as a reminder that we will continue to everything we can to mitigate as much of the risk as we can. In the event that anyone may have come into close contact with someone that has reported a positive result, we will be sending notification to anyone that could be directly affected.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF MY DANCER HAS A POSITIVE TEST RESULT?

Please notify the studio as soon as possible. Email the Owner, Meredith French or the artistic director, Ashley Clos.

  • The dancer and any family member that is also a dancer should not come to classes. We will schedule make up classes for any classes that have been missed.

  • The dancer, instructor, or family member is not isn’t permitted to return to the studio or classes without a negative test result no sooner than 7 days after their first sign of symptoms.

  • We will continue to wear masks, clean between classes and during down times, and make sure that our dancers are distancing themselves in class as much as possible. We have added fans for ventilation and continue to ask that we keep the number of visitors inside the studio at a minimum.

BEST PRACTICES FOR WBT DANCERS

DO:

*Keep social distance and wear a mask

*Wash your hands with soap and warm water before and after your lessons
*Sneeze or cough into your elbow, not your hand
*Eat healthy foods, drink plenty of water, and get good rest

DON’T

*Come to WBT when you or a family member is sick (fever, cough, sneezing, runny nose)
*Put your hands in your mouth, nose, and eyes
*Share your mask with anyone

We feel confident that by taking these measures, we can help mitigate the spread of not only Covid-19 but other illnesses that can impact the studio. By following through with the procedures outlined above, we are hopeful for a healthy return to the stage December 18th for the Nutcracker.

Thank you and please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Meredith French, Owner
